THE WORLD'S MOST POPULAR LANGUAGES
Currently, more than 8 billion people on the planet use over 7,000 languages in their daily lives. Of course, the average person cannot learn all the languages in the world. Most often people speak the language that is most widely used in the place where they were born and where they live. Additional study of one or another language depends on professional needs, the desire to leave their native country and many other factors.
Virtually every state has an official language that is used by the vast majority of local residents. In some countries there may be two, three or more. For example, in Switzerland there are three official languages – German, Italian and French. In addition, most Swiss people speak English well. In total, more than two billion people from different countries speak English on the globe.

About 3.49 million speak Chinese, 1.76 million speak Tagalog, and 1.57 million speak Vietnamese. There are also about 900,000 Russian speakers in the United States.
